The 11th Annual PCC Yak Fest & Dinner

7:30 p.m., Thursday, August 11th, 2016
Pasadena Casting Club Clubhouse & Pool
Lower Arroyo Seco Park

Following the past ten successful Yak Fests, I’m not going to waste my finger joints nor your time reading my cloyingly half-witty reasons to attend. Here are the bullet points:

1. Chat with other members without the inconvenient interruption of a fly fishing presentation.
2. An opportunity to become acquainted with other members and forge new friendships.
3. Enjoy a summer evening in the Arroyo.
4. Eat.
5. Do it all for free.

It will be a Hawaiian Luau style dinner, will pulled pork, grilled chicken with pineapple sauce, and BBQ short ribs. Paul Payan will be cooking in his grass skirt.

Bring your family, bring your friends, all are welcome, and there is no charge.

Although the event starts officially at 7:30 p.m., we’ll be setting up the premises beginning at approximately 6:00 p.m., so show up whenever you want. Bring your fly rod, cast some beforehand, and make some new friends.

If you want to help, we can always use a hand before, during, and after the event with set-up and serving. Although it should be apparent by now, this event is definitely at the Clubhouse and Casting Pool in Lower Arroyo Seco Park. Directions for newcomers can be found at our website, http://www.pasadenacastingclub.org/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=727848&module_id=93358.
