What is this?
Matt Klara of Big Sky Anglers in West Yellowstone, MT will be in town again this year for Thanksgiving and offered to do another free casting demo and instructional presentation for folks who are interested.
Matt's presentation will cover Single Hand Spey casting and Spey casting fundamentals, as well as how you can apply Spey principles with your standard gear to dry fly, nymph and streamer fishing. The format will be a presentation/demonstration at 1pm followed by lots of time for Q&A, hands on casting, and 1-on-1 and small group sessions. If you have any questions or are curious about single hand or two handed Spey casting, or even about standard overhead fly casting, this is a great chance to get some instruction.
Matt is a wealth of knowledge and we hope you get a chance to come hang out and pick his brain. His travels and broad experience on the water make him a great resource for not only Spey casting, but also for trout fishing, saltwater flats and bluewater fishing, two-handed rods, and west coast steelhead and salmon. Limited rod outfits provided by Orvis Pasadena will be available to cast, and feel free to bring your own gear.
